The Olive Hyde Art Guild in the City of Fremont, CA is currently exhibiting the art of its members in a juried show through July 27, 2019. There are three gallery rooms with works in a variety of styles and various mediums. One of my favorites is a mixed media piece by Fremont artist, Dmitry Grudsky. I also have two acrylic paintings on canvas that were selected for the exhibit: Not One is Lost and Eternity. I hope you have an opportunity to stop by and see them, along with the artwork of other Bay Area Artists.

UNICEF Next Generation Art Party - Los Angeles
In their own words, "The UNICEF Next Generation Art Party brings together artists and young leaders who commit their resources and enthusiasm toward UNICEF's lifesaving work. The curatorial team includes Carlton DeWoody, members of the TAPPAN Collective in New York City, and Jessica Witkin of Moran Bondaroff Gallery, Los Angeles."
Proceeds from this year's event will go to support UNICEF's child protection work in Mexico.
I am honored to have a painting selected again for this year's event, which takes place at 5 pm on February 24th, at 800 Main Street, Venice, CA. An image of Boundary of the Sea can be found on my website under Seascape. It is two panels, acrylic on canvas, 40" x 20".
If you are unable to attend, there are select works available by online auction at nextgenartparty.com. Please consider contributing to this very important cause and add to your art collection, as well!
OLIVE HYDE ART GUILD: HOLIDAY FOR THE ARTS 2017
If you missed the Holiday Gala on Friday night, there is still a reason to visit the Olive Hyde Art Gallery in Fremont this month. Local artists are displaying and selling quality art work in a variety of mediums and styles that appeals to diverse tastes and would make fantastic gifts. A portion of all sales goes to the gallery and visual art projects in the Fremont community and schools. It's a great way to shop for family and friends and benefit the community.
RADICAL DISRUPTION ART SHOW & SALE
Hello Friends,
I will be exhibiting Boundary of the Sea, at the upcoming Radical Disruptions Art Show and Sale, in Belmont, CA. The inspiration for this painting comes from the prophet Jeremiah, circa 620 B.C.
“Should you not fear me, declares the Lord? Should you not tremble in my presence? I made the sand a boundary for the sea, an everlasting barrier it cannot cross.”
The seascape is presented on two panels, hung vertically rather than horizontally, so that the waves appear to move towards the viewer, out of and past the top panel. Each panel is 20" x 20" and could also be hung side by side in a more traditional manner.
Your invitation is displayed below. I hope to see you there!
